Approve the Managed Support Retainer and the Allergy System Planning Sprint.
Ballpark planning figures · Component-specific SOW required
/01 · Executive summary
Approve any combination. The engagement is structured in stages so value can be validated before a larger build.
A monthly bank of hours for maintenance, security updates, and small enhancements.
Productionize and secure the front-end prototype as an alternative to the approximately $130,000 CAD off-the-shelf package.
A two-week discovery to map workflows, define requirements, and produce a fixed-price plan for the full build.
A custom mini-ERP to replace the Access databases and integrate with JD Edwards, quoted as a planning-level range pending the sprint.
/02 · Our understanding
“You need a subcontracting partner for backend and security work that sits outside your team’s expertise.”
The allergy business currently runs on fragmented Microsoft Access databases. Roughly six people enter data manually and generate labels and reports by hand. Network support is handled by unionized IT staff, with no dedicated developers.
PRIORITIES
/03 · Delivery approach
Begin with support and discovery, validate requirements and value, then commit to production builds through component-specific statements of work.
Use a monthly hour bank for bug fixes, minor enhancements, upgrades, security patching, and advisory time.
Map workflows, assess Access databases, define migration and integration, and produce a prioritized backlog and fixed-price SOW.
Deliver cloud-based, production-grade systems with security hardening, quality assurance, deployment, and handover.
/04 · Scope & deliverables
| Component | Scope | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| A · Managed Support Retainer | Bug fixes, minor enhancements, dependency upgrades, security patching, advisory time, and annual health check. | A standing monthly relationship with 8-hour or 15-hour banks. Unused hours roll forward one month. |
| B · Stability Tool | Backend architecture, data model, APIs, security hardening, QA, cloud deployment, and handover. | A secure, production-grade build based on the team’s front-end prototype. |
| C · Allergy System Planning Sprint | Workflow workshops, user stories, requirements, Access database assessment, migration planning, target architecture, cloud plan, and JD Edwards integration approach. | Requirements document, prioritized backlog, and fixed-price SOW for Phase 2. |
| D · Allergy System Development | Order receipt, work orders, tracking, labelling, reporting, customer portal, JD Edwards integration, cloud hosting, and data migration. | A custom mini-ERP replacing the manual Access workflow end to end. |
